Windham High School students in Ms. Long’s and Ms. Bragdon’s Honors English I classes concluded their 1930s research unit with lively, themed parties. They crafted invitations, played period music and games, and shared news from the decade. No theme party is complete without costumes, and the students did not disappoint, dressing up as famous athletes, musicians, actors, entrepreneurs, politicians, and more. This immersive research experience provides valuable historical context before diving into John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men, set during The Great Depression.
