EPISODE TWO: FOSTER CTE CENTER
Across Maine, Emerging Apprenticeship Programs Are Helping Students Get Class Credit, Work Experience, and Get Paid
Research shows that in rural Maine, young men – in particular – are falling behind. Graduation rates are lower, and fewer attend college and find meaningful jobs. But there’s a promising approach that’s bucking that trend: apprenticeships, where students are receiving course credit and compensation while discovering purposeful careers. In this episode, we hear the story of two Maine students who've taken advantage of apprenticeship programs to get ahead.
