Hear about this wonderful story from a teacher at Bath's Dike-Newell School, who loves Miss Elva, the day custodian and "Chair Fairy" who brings joy to many students!

Miss Elva - the "Chair Fairy" at Bath's Dike-Newell School

I am a kindergarten teacher in a Pre-k through second grade school. You know what is great about our public school? Miss Elva, our day custodian! I sometimes call her "the chair fairy". Every morning she is the first one there, doing what needs to be done and then some, all with a proud smile on her face. She takes care of our physical space, but she also takes care of the humans inside of it. Most mornings when I arrive, my chairs are all down around my tables and desks, hence the nickname and I am not the only classroom she does that for. She says she only does it when she has extra time. Okay, Elva, who has "extra time" working in an early elementary school? She goes above and beyond day in and day out. Where would Dike-Newell School be without her?
