James Bean, a pre-K through 5 school in Sidney, has begun their annual tradition, Book Buddies, bringing together younger and older students through a shared love of reading.This amazing initiative not only helps develop strong reading skills, but also fosters friendships across age groups. Additionally,, it's an opportunity for students to connect with a teacher they may have in future grades or spend time with a teacher they once had. By connecting students across grade levels, the Book Buddies program not only serves to improve literacy, but also builds a stronger, more integrated school community.
