In Wiscasset, students are developing real-world skills, such as carpentry, by constructing important community resources!
At Wiscasset Middle High School, eighth-grade CTE students worked together to construct raised walkways, which will be installed to improve the accessiblity of walking trails behind the school. The work involves measuring, drilling, and leveling the walkways. Through their work, more community members will be able to access this important community resource!
Meanwhile, in school's Maritime Studies Class, students are building a Frosty, a type of sailing dinghy. These are just a few of the invigorating ways that students are developing real world skills and improving their local communities. Congratulations on such impressive work!
